Painted future
Lays still
Like a Picasso picture
Or water painting
Dripping
Running down the black pages
Of paper
I write
But they’re white
I see light
Spotted red
Reveal the future
Still like a paint job
Never drying
But dry to the touch
Thoughts of you
Behind the eye
Seen
Reversed in the future
Lays still
Not painted
