Giving Thanks

For the music that keeps me company

I give thanks

Every breeze I feel as I sleep

I must give thanks

For the dreams that sometimes thrill me

Over the world, I soar and keep

I give my thanks



For the birds that sing each melody

I give thanks

Every ray of light that they bring

I must give thanks

For the oceans and the seas

That ripple without me

I give my thanks



For the people all around me

I give thanks

Every one with special needs

I must give thanks

For the passion that drives me

To produce more poetry

I give my thanks


Don’t mind me

I’m just giving thanks
